Tucked away on our family compound in Kahalu’u, Lawrence Lovestock is a rescue petting farm for local families, special needs keiki and visitors.
OUR ANIMALS
Meet our growing farm of lovestock.
Our animals have been saved from slaughter and euthanization or re-homed by their loving owners. The farm has changed the course of so many of our animals' lives and once they become a part of our “Lovestock” they are provided a safe, healthy and loving home to thrive.
Unlike livestock that feeds the body, our animals are called lovestock because they feed the soul.

Our pigs were surrendered from loving families and a slaughter house, all of them are so smart and happy-go-lucky.

Our bunnies are tamed and very sweet. They enjoy all the visits from so many keiki, being carried and hugged.
OUR PARROTS
Jojo, Hoku & Mahina
Our Amazon parrots have been with us for over thirty years and were hand-fed from birth by our Tutu Lady. Only spoken to in Hawaiian, listen closely and you’ll hear them sing “Aloha, Pe Hea oi, Maika’i.”
You will surely be welcomed by Jojo the miracle cockatoo. She will greet you with a sweet “Hi” or “Hello” and if there’s a lot of people she will scream “happy birthday!” Jojo was abandoned after an unexpected death of her owner. She was left for years alone, waiting for the return of her beloved owner. When she was finally found, hazmat had to remove her because the conditions were very toxic. Jojo miraculously survived all those years eating her skin, feathers and feces to stay alive. Today she makes children laugh and dance along with her.

All of our goats have their own unique personalities and love to graze on our land.

All of our dogs enjoy country livin’ to the fullest and have journeyed to our compound from as far as Oregon, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia and Australia.
OUR LAMBS
Yahweh, Shalom, Rudy and Nissi
Yah Weh and Shalom- Our budding love story. Inseparable since their eyes met. They free pasture together and are a beautiful sight. Their gentle nature continues to amaze us. Rudy was surrendered by a loving family who visits him regularly. Nissi, the baby has been with us since 12 hours old. She was abandoned by her mother when new years eve fireworks frightened her. Nissi was bottle fed for 7 months before introducing her to the herd.
OUR KA MOA
Chongy, Mister Tom, LaVerne, Shirley, Bingham, Jade, PeekABlue and many hens.
From purebred and hybrid hens to turkeys ducks and peacocks, our birds of a feather were all raised by us, most of them from when they were just a few days old.

Dating as far back as 1917,
six generations of our family have lived, worked and raised their families on this land.
From taro to cattle, our grandparents and grandchildren have all shared in its rich legacy; a legacy that endures today.
